Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins is a Mexican American sportscaster. She currently works for ESPN as a reporter for SportsCenter as well as occasionally hosting SportsNation. She joined ESPN as a reporter in the year 2016. Her mother is Maria Antonieta Collins, a TV reporter. Antonietta is a native bilingual. When she was just nine years old, her ability to converse in two languages allowed her to get an employment in Miami as an assistant producer for Univision. When on vacation Antonietta was staying at her sister's house in Canton Ohio. Her older Collins sibling had recently gotten a new job. Antonietta still a senior at high school but she had a clear idea of the path she wanted to pursue. So while assessing if Mount Union would be a good fit for her, Antonietta decided to go visit the campus. Then she fell in love with the school. The university offered her major. She completed her schooling and was accepted to the University for a master's degree in media studies. Mark Bergmann was her professor as well as the director of WRMU in which she's a part. They formed a strong relationship. Professor Bergmann encouraged her to be confident and was deeply moved by his love of journalism.
